The Certificate of Recognition (COR®) is a national accreditation standard that verifies full implementation of an employer’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System. COR® is often used as a condition of contract by the public and private sectors across Canada. Recently, COR® was enhanced to COR® 2020 in order to streamline the auditing process and allow organizations the flexibility to tailor their program to best suit their needs while also meeting COR® requirements. COR® 2020 also helps interested workplaces qualify for recognition from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) and the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) under two provincial programs:
- Supporting Ontario’s Safe Employers (SOSE)
- Health and Safety Excellence program (HSEp)
